The workshop was held on Wednesday, January 08, 2025, at Prof. K.A. Munasinghe Hall, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. This initiative aimed to prepare students for cutting-edge technologies and the demands of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop included sessions on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Data Communications and Networking<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Analysis<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Soft Skills Development<\/strong>\u00a0(e.g., CV writing, interview preparation, and career planning)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Prasad Jayaweera,&nbsp;<em>Dean of the Faculty of Computing<\/em>, welcomed the Hutch delegates, emphasizing the value of such collaborations. Mr. Mangala Bandara,&nbsp;<em>General Manager of Corporate Affairs at Hutch<\/em>, explained that the goal is to empower the next generation for the competitive IT industry. Other notable speakers included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mr. Asanga Ranasinghe,\u00a0<em>Chief Technology and Information Officer<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Sudesh Samarasinghe,\u00a0<em>Chief Manager Finance<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Supun Karunanayake,\u00a0<em>Head of Data Analytics<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ms. Dinusha Wijayagunarathna,\u00a0<em>Deputy Manager of HR &amp; Talent Development<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We especially thank Ms. Nayanathara Mudunkotuwa,&nbsp;<em>Senior Executive, Corporate Affairs-Hutch<\/em>&nbsp;for her continuous support in organizing this workshop. The sessions provided students with a deeper understanding of real-world applications while inspiring them to innovate and excel in the dynamic tech landscape. Events like these play a pivotal role in shaping Sri Lanka\u2019s future computing professionals by connecting academic learning with industry expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Faculty of Computing looks forward to continuing its collaboration with Hutch to foster innovation and equip students with the skills required to thrive in the digital age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
